Cookie Policy for JRH Engineering

JRH Engineering ("JRH Engineering," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on www.jrhengineering.net (the "Site"). This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Our Site is built on the Wix platform. Certain essential cookies are automatically placed by Wix to ensure security, stability, and core functionality. We may also use additional cookies through third-party integrations.

Required for the Site to operate. These cookies cannot be turned off in our systems. Examples placed by the Wix platform include:

d. Targeted Advertising / Marketing Cookies


If we run advertising or remarketing campaigns, cookies may be set by us or our partners to measure campaign effectiveness or deliver relevant content. These are the types of cookies most likely to trigger opt-out rights under state privacy laws (see Section 5).


Because JRH Engineering uses business tools and third-party integrations available through the Wix platform, the cookies on the Site may change over time.

4. Sale of Personal Information and Targeted Advertising

JRH Engineering does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, certain disclosures of personal information to third-party advertising or analytics partners through cookies and similar technologies may qualify as a "sale" or as "targeted advertising" under Texas and Florida law. You have the right to opt out of these activities as described in Section 5.

5. Your State Privacy Rights

5.1 Texas Residents — Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA)

If you are a Texas resident, the TDPSA (effective July 1, 2024) provides you with the following rights, subject to applicable exceptions:

  • Right to Know / Access — Confirm whether we are processing your personal data and access that data.

​

  • Right to Correct — Request correction of inaccuracies in your personal data.

​

  • Right to Delete — Request deletion of personal data we have collected about you.

​

  • Right to Data Portability — Obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable, readily usable format.

​

  • Right to Opt Out of the processing of personal data for:​

    • Targeted advertising, and

    • Profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

  • The sale of personal data,

​

  • Right to Appeal any refusal to act on your request.

Sensitive Data Notice (Required by Texas Law): "We may sell your sensitive personal data" or "We may sell your biometric personal data" — Neither statement applies to JRH Engineering. We do NOT sell sensitive personal data or biometric personal data.

Universal Opt-Out Mechanism: As required by the TDPSA (effective January 1, 2025), we honor recognized universal opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a valid opt-out of sale and targeted advertising.

5.2 Florida Residents — Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR)

​

The FDBR (effective July 1, 2024) applies primarily to certain large businesses, and it is unlikely that JRH Engineering currently falls within its full scope. However, as a matter of good practice, if you are a Florida resident we extend the following rights to you to the extent applicable:

  • Right to confirm whether we process your personal data and to access that data.

​

  • Right to correct inaccuracies.

​

  • Right to delete personal data.

​

  • Right to obtain a portable copy of your personal data.

​

  • Right to opt out of the processing of your personal data for purposes of (a) targeted advertising, (b) sale, or (c) profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

  • Right to opt out of the collection or processing of sensitive data.

​

  • Right to opt out of the collection of personal data through voice or facial recognition technology.

​

JRH Engineering does not knowingly sell sensitive data, use voice or facial recognition collection, or engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5.3 North Carolina Residents

​

As of the date of this policy, North Carolina has not enacted a comprehensive consumer data privacy law. North Carolina residents are protected by laws including the North Carolina Identity Theft Protection Act (which governs breach notification). As a matter of good practice, JRH Engineering extends the same access, correction, deletion, and opt-out choices described above to North Carolina residents to the extent reasonably feasible.

5.4 How to Exercise Your Rights

We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally within 45 days, with one possible 45-day extension). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

5.5 Authorized Agents

​

Texas residents may designate an authorized agent to submit opt-out requests on their behalf. We may require reasonable verification of the agent's authority.

6. Managing and Disabling Cookies

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through our cookie banner when you first visit the Site, and you can change your preferences at any time.
